The other day I had to run out of the house to get some errands done. On the list of things to do:
- Get gas.
- Mail packages.
- Pick up a few things from the store.
- Pay a bill.
I was already in an icky mood and to make matters worse as I was walking into the gas station to pay for my gas my left foot shifted slightly and rolled to the side. I recovered quickly, but something wasn’t right. I kind of limped along for a second then glanced down and saw that my.shoe.was.broken! I’d only had those cute blue thong wedges for a couple of months so I was extremely displeased. to top it off there were my “go to” cute shoe for the summer.
To say that my face got red and steam streamed from my ears is probably an understatement. It just seemed like a “broke the camel’s back” moment. Luckily, I wasn’t far from home and I sped back – after walking with as much dignity as I could and pumping my gas – stormed into the house and put on a regular pair of flip flops.
Now, of course, I need to replace…
