Tomorrow we’re having a Princess Party for my 5-year-old daughter. She had a birthday about a week ago, but tomorrow was the first date available to have an official celebration.

We’re hoping at least 10 children will attend to make this the best celebration for her ever, and we have games and crafts planned. My girlfriend, who’s bringing her two girls, is planning on getting the supplies for the girls to make wands and crowns. My teenager and her boyfriend’s twin sisters are going to be in charge of the games: Hungry Hungry Hippo, a matching game and some ladybug game. There will be a pretty cake topped with a crown and a wand.

The best part, at least I think it is, will be the decorations. There will be balloons, streamers and all sorts of lovely pretty princess thingamajigs. And the guest of honor is planning on being dressed in her finest princess finery, of course, with sparkly jewels, flowing gown and little heels.

Now had I planned ahead of time I could have taken advantage…
